Former Australia captain Michael Clarke will be joining an elite panel of commentators comprising Kevin Pietersen, Sunil Gavaskar to name a few for the upcoming 10th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).

Over 20 commentators will be travelling around the country for 47 days to 10 different venues across the country. “It doesn’t get any bigger and better than this,” Clarke said. “I have always loved this tournament, and this year it is going to be no different with the IPL getting into its 10th year. One can expect a lot of surprises and some adrenaline pumping action on the field. Can’t wait to set the ball rolling, “ said Clarke. Clarke recently commentated the Border-Gavaskar trophy, his first time commentating in India.

“I have been a part of the IPL tournament as a player and this year I am eager to get behind the microphone and have some fun. Love this place, love the competition, and it is great to be a part of this commentary team.” The tournament began this week with lots of hype already underway as to who will take the crown. “Can’t wait to see what some of the big guns have in store for us, Smith, Dhoni, Warner, Rahne – it’s going to be an explosive tournament.

“I am excited to commentating alongside many of the top class women ex-cricketers, it was a fantastic initiative by BCCI to include them as part of the commentary panel, can’t wait to see what insights they bring to the table”. Clarke is due to commentate his first match on Friday, April 7th.
